I'll be waiting for dishwasher repair guy to show up this morning.  He's supposed to be here between 8 and 12.  We'll see.

I've been on hold with the Department of Veterans Affairs for 43 minutes. I've been waiting on them to fill out a simple form for three months.

Economics is pretty boring, so here's an explanation of how capitalism works around the world.

Actually, I didn't know that, Freethinker!

A fact: The first computer programmer was a woman. I forgot her name, but she worked around the same time as Charles Babbage.

Another one: 1969 had three nascent social movements happening at the same time. The gay, feminist and the disabled rights movements.

I was cooking hamburgers for dinner earlier today and I realized I haven't eaten fast food of any sort for about a year now.

It wasn't a conscious effort or anything. I haven't been deliberatly avoiding going to those sorts of places. I just usually cook my own meals, and when I do eat out I go to a full service restaurant. If I want to eat at home and not cook I just get carry out. I haven't even ordered a Pizza from a chain restaurant in forever because I have this awesome Italian place right by where I live that does great brick oven NY style pizza. I eat plenty of unhealthy crap, I just don't go to places with a dollar menu and a drive through or get cheap chain store delivery food anymore.

I suppose it's just that I don't get the urge because fast food doesn't taste very good and I've got the time and skill to not have to resort to it.

I just happened to think that I hadn't seen any new posts on this thread in several days, so I'm making one.

I would hate to see this glorious thread die after 58 boring pages.

I turned the lamp on when it got dark outside, and I washed a shirt today.

Capt. Morgan 100 proof spiced rum is better than the regular spiced rum.

This has been a public service announcement.

I should clarify: I vacuumed the floor yesterday. I didn't vacuum yesterday, or any other day. You can't vacuum a day.

Apparently I made a post so boring that I killed the "Boring Post Thread."

A few days ago when I saw someone had posted in this thread, I was too bored to look, but curiosity got the better of me and I checked the thread.  That is all.

It's slower than the ice melt in Antarctica (where you will find no ants).
