I am an atheist first and foremost because I gota see it to believe it. And I never got a kiss and a hug from god when I was a child. A god that is omnipotent, and omni benevolent would not let me come to harm ( hell) just because I need a physical revalation. god would not let me stay in ignorance just because I am a gots to see it to believe sorta guy. And as far as women preachers.............I have my views on that, too. I am a teacher, not a preacher. There are liberal Christian churches. There are also the Unitarians. It's sad that most of the other churches refuse to accept them. I think that not accepting everyone will eventually be the death of ultra-conservative Christianity (note: not liberals). I think the only way mainline Christianity is going to be able to survive this millennium is to change, and if they don't change their teachings, they're not going to. I think many people are coming around to the notion that homosexuality is genetic, and won't want to be part of a church that discriminates.
