How many times I've heard "God didn't want robots".

The bible says clearly that you don't know the mind of God.

Believers decide at some point that they are so close to God that they know what everyone else does not about their special friend God. That's when the inevitable anthropomorphism of God starts.

Where in the bible does it say anything like "god didn't want robots?

Not the word "robot" itself, but any phrase that could reasonably be read to say that?

Deuteronomy 11:26-27

26 ¶Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse;

27 A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you this day:

28 And a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of the Lord your God,

In other words, god wants us to do as he commands... like robots.

Yeah, obey we get..

You didn't answer the question.

The verse you cited does not say what you said about "robots", nor does it say anything in the supposed language of the time which could be construed to say it.

That phrase, that thinking, is what believers commonly quote from their own reasoning and imagination. Interpreting God in human terms.. that's 'anthropomorphism'.

In this usage it is a form of apologetics.

Whether sincerely or intentionally, you're making it up.

I was going to say that waltzing in here quoting the bible as an authority is about as effective a strategy as quoting:

  • The Book of Mormon
  • The Vedic texts
  • The Tripitaka
  • Dianetics
  • Harry Potter

I'm on a list kick tonight for some reason.

God is all about Love. Do you think Love with robots is meaningful?

If you are going to quote the bible as authority from god you must establish these facts:  (1) god exists (2) the bible is THE authoritative word for this god that exists, and (3) your understanding of the bible is the correct understanding.

I'm willing to bet you'll fall short on all three counts.

Such a dichotomy...

God doesn't want us to respond to some pre-programming because he loves us and wants us to make a choice to love (and therefore obey) him.

So He tells us to choose to accept him or suffer eternal damnation.

Because he loves us.

So he unleashes what the bible describes as total rampant earthly evil, both at the hand of Satan, and of man. Tells you to just deal with it best you can, he doesn't participate in your earthly struggle with all this evil He put into place.

And dares us to take on everything, come what may, and in the end He will judge us by whether we are able to do so and sustain our faith.

Nope...   ain't buying it.

You don't get the seriousness of this test we are in.

Do you believe in hell, pittsburghjoe?  If so, the presence of even one sentient being suffering for eternity utterly destroys any claim your god has to being loving.  Absolutely fucking annihilates any pretense of being associated with love in any way, shape or form.

Love is Coherence. Love is Order. You are either disorder ..or you are not.

I have to call you on this.  you've already already defined that term in a highly unusual way:

Quote

God's Love is entanglement

Quote

Entanglement = Love

and you've sort of fleshed out Entanglement:

Quote

The key to entanglement is the sharing of the same path, of all possible paths, for a split second. After that happens, the waves will be considered the same wave. Measuring one wave collapses the other because they are the same wave.

Quote

Quantum Entanglement requires Coherence. Coherence is waves in phase, it is perfect order. God is perfect order

Would you like to amend your definitions?

Your conception of Love has -0- relationship to how the rest of us and the dictionary perceive of Love.

Nope.  Love has nothing to do with coherence or order.  Love is messy, and that's one of its charms.

We are made in God's image, we can think like him. He wants entanglement with minds that are able to think.

Bullshit.  Your own bible plainly states that god's ways are not our ways and his thoughts are higher than our thoughts.  We can not think like god.

What do you think it means to be in his image?

There are as many different interpretations as there are denominations.  What does that tell you?

If I am made in God's image and I am a sinner, then God is also a sinner.

If I need salvation and I was made in His image then He also needs salvation.
