She uses some advanced technology to measure some very real properties of my eyes. If my eyes are not real I can forego the treatment I suppose.

Wrong.  Our consciousness is 100% dependent on a functioning physical brain, operating within very specific wavelength parameters.  If the frequency drops too low, into the delta range, we lose consciousness and don't even dream.  Ask yourself where this "soul" is hiding when you're in dreamless sleep -- you lose hours of the nighttime without being aware of yourself or your surroundings.  What makes you think you'll be aware of anything at all once your brain has died and rotted?
